Testosterone Replacement Therapy
Healthy testosterone levels in men help with libido, increase muscle mass, fat distribution, help maintain bone mass and increase insulin sensitivity. Testosterone deficiencies result in feeling sluggish, generalized fatigue, low mood and irritability, impaired sleep, and weight gain. Imbalances can cause a poor tolerance for exercise and a lack of motivation. Men have their own version of menopause and is called Andropause. This syndrome is associated with a decrease in sexual satisfaction or a decline in a general sense of well-being associated with low testosterone levels in men.
Men's symptoms tend to occur gradually. Because of this, most men don’t think of themselves as possibly having hormonal imbalances. But replacing a man’s testosterone can help them feel youthful again. When hormones are optimized men will have a healthy sex drive, sleep well, stable energy and mood, lean body mass, improved bone density, and benefits on cardiovascular risk factors.
